A man in a straw hat closes his eyes and smiles into the wind on a coastal path above the sea.

Feel the Wind

I’ve been holding on so tight, I forgot to feel the wind.

Leaving before the town wakes up and driving until the road runs out at the sea.

Bad coffee in a paper cup, white lines on a wet road, shoes left beside a stone. The things you left will still be there when you get home. For now, it’s just the tide, the sea air and time to call your own.

“For the first time in a long, long while,I feel alive instead of getting by.”
